Strengthening governance
Magda has over a decade’s experience of working at Board Director level and has taken corporate responsibility for performance, risk and quality assurance. She can support the development of business processes, undertake organisational diagnostic assessments and can write and support improvement and development plans for public sector organisations.
Recent projects have included providing interim management for a joint commissioning team for children and young people and advising on future management and leadership structures, strengthening the identification and management of corporate risk and evaluating the business support functions within a CCG.
Coaching
Cognitive Connections can offer career and performance coaching to individuals. Whether this is in preparation for a change of job or to help with developing effective ways of managing challenges, a programme can be built to suit your circumstances.
Magda has worked with a number of public sector organisations over the last decade offering coaching and mentoring support. She trained with the NHS institute, School of Coaching and the University of Strathclyde on Coaching in the NHS and is a member of the European Coaching and Mentoring Council. She and Stirling draw on a range of Cognitive Behavioural coaching methods to help clients work through issues relating to stress, self-esteem and resilience.
Service Improvement
Cognitive Connections uses PRINCE2 methodology to support the design and delivery of service improvement. This can be short term or one off packages of work or can involve programme management from mandate to product delivery.
Recent work includes working with Clinical Commissioners to improve the identification of people likely to become high users of service, reducing the unscheduled admission and attendance related to alcohol, a healthcare improvement programme for residents of care homes and delivery of integrated care.
Mediation
Cognitive Connections can work with individuals or teams who are willing to seek negotiated outcomes to disputes or relationship breakdown at work. Support and intervention is designed around the particular circumstances.
Organisations are supported to make Mediation a feature of corporate behaviour rather than the last resort before formal procedures.
